About the role
Provides pharmaceutical guidance and expertise to program. Monitors and evaluates drug therapy for beneficial therapeutic outcome. Serves as technical authority and resource by providing drug information to physicians, nurses and patients on commercial and investigational drugs being utilized and ensures up-to-date information is readily available. Conducts clinical pharmacy research and actively collaborates with staff and clinical researchers in the design and implementation of complex investigational drug development and research protocols, including Phase 1, first in human studies. Monitors active investigational studies in Clinical Unit to ensure that all FDA, ethical issues and Pharmacy Department policies concerning the use of investigational drugs are being followed.
