About the role
The Engineering Technician: Serves as project engineer technician to the Contracting Officer/Contracting Officer Representative with the responsibility for on-site administration of construction contracts in order to assure that the content of construction project contracts are technically sound and in compliance with the plans and specifications documents. Monitors documentation and measurement of work is performed. Reviews material testing, project schedules, progress estimates, surveys, traffic controls, environmental controls, construction methods, project funding, and all issues concerning the construction of the project. Monitors specification requirements for complaince of the contract documents. Plans, organizes and facilitates project meetings, including meetings with the owning agency, local utlilities, landowners, designers, local officials, suppliers, and with contractors, including formal partnering meetings.
