Budget Officer

This Budget Officer is in the Administrative Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. As the District's Budget Officer, the incumbent is responsible for the formulation, presentation, and execution phases of the district's, short and long-range budget. The budget for the USAO, SDFL is extremely complex in that we have many funding sources, including at least four (4) Federal appropriations. The Fiscal Section is charged with overseeing the financial management program, which includes budget development and execution, fiscal services and disbursements, travel management, audits, and internal and external controls. Advises management on the proper and effective utilization of all financial resources under the district's jurisdiction in accordance with a wide variety of laws, regulations, and Department of Justice and EOUSA policies and programs.
