About the role
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for assisting in the area of financial litigation and is responsible for directly and independently support Assistant United States Attorneys by providing a wide variety of technical assistance services. Typical work assignments will include: Obtaining and analyzing financial information of debtors to determine their present and future potential ability to pay; Making determinations as to the appropriateness and cost effectiveness of pursuing debts owed to the United States or victims of crime either by suit or proceedings subsequent to the entry of judgment to enforce collection; Preparing payment plans which involve reviewing financial asset information the debtor has submitted; Utilizing skip tracing and other financial investigative tools to locate assets for satisfaction of debts; and Entering and tracking financial data in automated systems and spreadsheets.
