About the role
You will support the operation of testing in wind tunnel and rotorcraft laboratory environments. You will design, set up, calibrate and operate complex mechanical and electronic instrumentation and data acquisition systems to collect experimental data. You will troubleshoot, maintain and repair laboratory equipment and test systems to ensure operational readiness and safety. You will assist with and provide technical support for projects involving Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), drones or RC aircraft. You will develop designs and create detailed drawings for experimental apparatus and test articles using CAD software (e.g.. SolidWorks). You will work from engineering drawings, sketches and oral instructions, to produce high -quality components for academic and research projects. You will instruct and assists midshipmen and faculty in the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and software.
