Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

Assess acute and non-acute clinical problems. Order and interpret related laboratory and diagnostic tests. Prescribe medications. Educate patients and their families regarding healthcare processes and diagnostic tests. Provide counseling to patients and their families in prevention of illness, maintenance of health, and attainment of physical, mental, and social well-being Develop, review, and update policies, protocols, standards of care, operating procedures, and scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary members of the healthcare team. Coordinate and conduct in-service education programs for health care professionals and serves as an advisor/member of assigned committees.
