About the role
Incumbent is responsible for applying broad knowledge of electronic principles, methods, andpractices in addition to other knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, optical, mechanical, andpressure/sensing subsystems. Uses fiber optic cable splicing and/or connecting kits in the repair or replacement of fiber optic cables. Performs inspection, repairs ,adjustments, tests and installation on the electronic and electrical subsystems. Installs new equipment systems or subsystems to replace faulty or worn items which cannot be effectively repaired or repaired in a timely manner. Conducts regular inspections of electrical equipment, notes defects and performs PM function. Participates in site-based safety program-training efforts and assures that daily work includes full adherence to safe working practices and conditions.
