About the role

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to test, troubleshoot, repair and modify aircraft pneudraulic systems and a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components. DUTY 1: Conducts scheduled periodic maintenance inspections on all hydraulically operated systems on aircraft. Makes visual inspection on all systems possible by checking such items as reservoir fluid level, brake pucks for clearance, visual conditions of lines, shock struts for fluid and height of piston level, accumulators for air pressure, removing filters and cleaning or replacing. DUTY 2: Troubleshoots all hydraulic systems on both local and transient aircraft. Using portable test equipment diagnoses any malfunctions. Disassembles systems to extent needed, makes adjustments or repairs, and replaces parts or entire systems to correct any malfunctions.
