About the role
Evaluates and recommends programs and development plans for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of civil engineering. Works with organizational managers, budgeting personnel, and higher engineering authority in developing and gaining approval for proposed facility programs/projects. Coordinates projects with engineers in other disciplines or with architects.Represents the base in all areas of community planning at meetings, conferences, and hearings. Maintains the Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ) program. Implements and maintains the program working directly with appropriate installation staff. Implements the lnteragency/intergovernmental Coordination for Environmental Planning (IICEP) as it pertains to the BCP, the Housing Community Plan, AICUZ studies, transportation studies, and individual construction projects, etc.
