Human Resources Specialist (Processing), CG-11/12 (FPL 12)

At the full performance level, major duties include: Processes a full range of personnel and payroll actions using human resources information systems and various applications from the FDIC servicing provider. Participates in the development of new or improved procedures and guidelines affecting payroll/personnel processing activities and troubleshoots inquiries to resolve and streamline issues. Reviews and authorizes payments for corrections to NFC system (HCUP, SPPS, EPIC, etc.), Death Payments, Cancelled Payments, Settlement Payments and any other payments necessary to correct or rectify a variety of personnel actions. Works closely with Human Resources Managers, Senior HR Specialists and HR Specialists in Staffing Operations, FDIC Administrative Officers, and other HR Specialists in Benefits, Compensation and Information systems to accurately assess and improve the effectiveness of the day-to-day personnel and payroll processing.
