About the role
Direct the efforts of USSOUTHCOM Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) to achieve the command's Counterdrug (CD), Counter Narco-Terrorism (CNT), and Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) strategic goals in the area of responsibility. Represent USSOUTHCOM at meetings and briefs senior staff and high-ranking government officials concerning CD, CNT, and CTOC plans, policies, and agreements. Develop CD, and CNT doctrine, policy, and plans into usable products to support USSOUTHCOM. Provide advice to senior staff and government agencies and develops the basis for resource allocation in support of national policy for CD, CNT, and CTOC. This position requires a high level of knowledge in interagency operations. Coordinate extensive planning, spanning the entire enterprise, while touching all levels of the joint process.
