About the role
As a Transportation Specialist, you will: Review or draft policy products pertaining to the implementation of policy, legislative programs, and other authorities. Orally brief executive leadership on the content of written or other prepared materials in preparation of meetings and events. Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment to produce high-quality work and meet time sensitive deadlines set by USDOT and FHWA leadership. Collaborate with Congressional staff, other levels of government, non-profit, and other industry stakeholders, as needed. The ideal candidate is a senior-level professional with strong writing and communication skills, political and organizational savvy, and a customer-service orientation who can work comfortably and capably in a fast-paced, flexible, and team-oriented work environment.
