About the role
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who exhibit evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition. Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional functioning. Provide individual and group short-term therapy sessions, including psychoeducational sessions. Consult and provide opinions to other health professionals on various topics related to the psychology of the patient. Perform psychotherapeutic intervention or environmental modification based on scientific, evidence-based practice. Oversee, administer, and interpret appropriate psychological tests.
