About the role
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of a Child Development Center, ensuring the programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Provides oversight in the care of full day, part day, and specialized settings. Assesses and determines requirements for program equipment and materials. Ensures cognitive, physical, and emotional growth of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years or those with physical, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and function on an age comparable to those previously stated. Responsible for the financial operation of the Child Development Program, the facilities, grounds, equipment, health and safety. Ensures program meets established financial goals. Prepares and executes appropriated and non-appropriated funding budgets. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work throughsubordinate staff and/or supervisors.
