About the role
You will prepare and/or review position and job descriptions, conduct desk audits, write reports of findings, provide classification training and prepare evaluations as required by authority. You will locate, interpret, analyze and apply Position Classification Standards and Guides. You will resolve conflicts, analyze and anticipate potential problems and recommend preventive actions. You will develop, modify, conduct and/or oversee the presentation of formal training in classification, position management and desk audits. You will prepare documentation for classification appeals and other inquiries. You will provide guidance and instruction to managers and junior specialists unfamiliar with complex classification issues (mixed positions, cross series comparison, etc.).
