About the role
As a Civil Engineer (Structural), you will: Interpret and apply relevant structural codes for design, construction, testing, and maintenance of structures, including seismic design and retrofit. Develop plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for bridges and recommend the selection of safe and economical bridge types and designs, site selection, structure locations, and structural adequacy. Develop preliminary plans for structures that show type, size, and location (TS&L) of the proposed structures. Use advanced analysis, including CADD software, to help develop novel design concepts for both new construction and rehabilitation, as needed, to address project requirements and advance the state of the practice. Coordinate closely with the Project Team Leader, Bridge Team Leader, and other involved disciplines such as Hydraulics, Geotechnical, Highway Design, Environmental, Safety, Materials and Pavements in the identification and development of information required for sound engineeri
