Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist

Oversee submission and review of policy forms from health insurance issuers for compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) market reforms and the No Surprises Act (NSA). Provide technical assistance regarding CMS rate review program policy, operations, and the Unified Rate Review Template instructions. Manage the CMS State Engagement Coordinators in providing technical assistance to state departments of insurance regarding compliance issues, the ACA market reforms, and the NSA. Oversee grants to states for planning and implementing the insurance market reforms and consumer protections under Part A of title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act. Develop performance standards, review work performance of subordinates, and find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed.
