About the role
Serve as a Lead Police Officer assigned under the authority of the Senior Commander at IMCOM supported installations. Perform police officer duties enforce laws and render assistance. Respond to and investigate emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service. Responsible for three or more Department of Army Civilian Police Officers, Military Policeman (MP) and on some installation, DA Security Guards (DASG), while on shift as outlined in the Patrol Distribution Plan (PDP). Instruct employees in specific job tasks, techniques and training. Serve as work leader of personnel engaged in law enforcement duties for the installation. Distribute shift work assignments to be performed by employees. Conduct traffic law enforcement patrol using specialized equipment such as radar, Lidar and breathalyzer. Operate motor vehicle which may involve high speed pursuit of suspects. Conduct investigative stops, question, detain, and issue traffic citations as required.
