About the role
The duties may include, but are not limited to: Receive, categorize, processes, and determine disposition of complaints regarding all elements of the National Organic Program (NOP). Assess initial appropriateness and validity of complaints using the NOP regulation 7 CFR 205 and the Organic Foods Production Act (OFPA) Conduct investigations of alleged complaints, trade practices, and violations of the National Organic Program Regulation and the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 (OFPA) . Prepare notices of noncompliance, warning letters, notice to cease, and desist and other investigative correspondence and sends to violators. Assist with the execution of investigative policies, practices, procedures, and techniques concerning cases of violations of the regulation by certifying agents, producers, and handlers. Participate with top managers and the Deputy Administrator to develop major changes in direction for the organization.
