Equipment Specialist (General)

Serves as a Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RAM) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) evaluator. Responsible for the technical adequacy and accuracy of RAM and ILS evaluations of system test programs conducted as part of developmental and production type tests of Army materiel. Develops test requirements: Devises RAM and ILS for a wide variety of experimental equipment and test situations covering design and conduct of reliability, maintainability, availability and durability (RAM-D) test. Coordinates RAM and Logistics Supportability evaluation effort: Provides supervision and guidance to others (military and civilian) of lower grade in the conduct of RAM and logistics supportability evaluations. Manages RAM/ILS automated data bases: Serves as U.S. Aberdeen Test Center point-of-contact for automated RAM/ILS test data.
