SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY COMPUTER ENGINEER/COMPUTER SCIENCE

You will serve as a scientist or engineer carrying out technology activities involving pioneering work of outstanding scope, difficulty, and complexity in unexplored or heretofore unpromising areas of investigation. You will lead the development of one or more AI software infrastructure projects within one’s area(s) of technical expertise. You will provide expert advice and leadership to engineers, product managers and stakeholders internal to NSW and down Echelon as well as external partners such as US Special Operations Command, Defense Innovation Unit etc. You will provide technical advice to contracting department personnel during the writing of contracts and/or providing technical oversight and guidance to contractors as required. You will determine technical requirements for external efforts, such as AI partnerships, sponsored scientific studies or vendor task orders.
