About the role
-Troubleshoots hard-to-locate problems, and identifies defects and causes of mechanical problems to determine type and extent of necessary repairs to a variety of heavy mobile vehicles and equipment. Performs initial inspection of equipment to determine type and extent of repair needed, and repairs equipment. Prepares a list of all parts required for repair. -Performs automotive mechanic work including troubleshooting malfunctions, determining the type and extent ofrepair required, repairing, and maintaining vehicles including forklifts, tow tractors, truck tractors and trailers, sweepertrucks, wreckers, busses, vans, pickup trucks, sedans, and hybrid vehicles -Uses diagnostic tools, orders parts, completes documentation, and provides training and assistance to others. -Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe andclean work environment.
