About the role
Assists in compiling, maintaining, and updating tumor registry and pathology data in the Automated Central Tumor Registry (ACTUR) and other database systems. Reviews and triages consultation request forms, reports, and supporting materials to ensure completeness and compliance with established submission requirements and guidelines. Accurately accession and assign cases to the appropriate pathologists by sorting and entering case information into an automated database system, ensuring proper documentation and tracking. Identifies missing or incomplete materials and coordinates with submitting facilities to obtain required documentation or specimens. Assists in implementing procedures for receiving, processing, and maintaining cancer-related records and materials. Processes the receipt, routing, and return of consultation materials and laboratory items, ensuring proper documentation. Assists in managing final case reports and coordinates the return of materials to submitting facilities
