Supervisory Physical Therapist

Provides acute care Physical Therpay patient care and is responsible for the management and supervision of the section. Providing independent evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a diverse inpatient population. Utilizes evaluation techniques to determine patient’s current functional level, using standardized/clinically accepted measurement and evaluation tools, clinical observations, patient/staff interviews, and review medical histories. Provides technical supervision of, and collaboration with, physical therapy assistant(s). Designs treatment plans to meet patient/clinical objectives and to maximize restoration of physical and adaptive roles and functions. Assigns duties and responsibilities to each subordinate. Supervises structured disciplinary actions for subordinates as required by the facility’s credentialing program. Conducts required research activities, contributing to the advancement of the body of knowledge for the profession.
