Plans and organizes studies and projects for work operations and problem areas for which safety standards and procedures must be applied or improved for compliance with general industry standards and construction safety and health standards. Responsible for scheduling and conducting safety management evaluations of high-risk construction and operational sites located throughout the Los Angeles District. Applies regulations, standards, and sound safety practices to detect hazardous operations and conditions and recommends proper safety and occupational health measures to eliminate or minimize the possibility of injury to personnel. Reviews operational plans, training directives and field exercises and operational procedures to ensure that assigned appropriate considerations have been evaluated and risk assessments within acceptable limits. Investigates accidents involving injuries and/or material damage to determine circumstances involved and the nature of injuries and/or damages. Serve
