About the role
The selectee will serve as an Investigative Analyst in the Office of Field Operations. Typical work assignments include: Conducting analysis of suspected criminal activities; developing target packets/profiles; and utilizing systems to perform protective intelligence research and criminal analysis. Planning analytical approaches and determining necessary research and resources needed. Researching and identifying issues and cyber technological advances that impart criminal analysis; and formulates recommendations and guidance. Conducting research on electronic crime, cybercrime, credit card theft, money laundering, fraud, counterfeiting of U.S. currency and obligations, terrorism, and other financial crimes. Participating as an active member in anti-crime task forces, providing criminal research and analytical assistance pertaining to on-going investigations.
