About the role
You will certify shipments of radioactive material shipped by the Shipyard are properly classified, described, packaged, marked and labeled, and in proper condition for transportation. You will inspect radioactive material shipments received by the Shipyard for compliance with regulations. You will sign and return a receipt to the shipper for each incoming receipt. You will notify the shipper of any discrepancies, and request these discrepancies be corrected in future shipments. You will contact contractors, shipping organizations, transportation companies to schedule, ship and receive radioactive materials. You will maintain generated records for an accurate history of Shipyard radioactive shipments and receipts.
