Personnel Security Specialist

As a Personnel Security Specialist, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Adjudicate credentialing, fitness, suitability, and national security eligibility of individuals for entry and retention in sensitive, non-sensitive, and/or public trust positions. Serve as a technical authority in making credentialing, fitness/suitability, and national security eligibility decisions. Train and provide guidance to entry-level personnel and others. Evaluate requests for personnel security investigations and security clearances on applicants, employees and contractors. Ensure that the appropriate processing and record keeping related to personnel security cases/investigations is followed.
