Budget Technician

Execute purchases using the Government Purchase Card (GPC) or by initiating purchase requests, maintains purchase records, and provides monthly transaction reports to the budget analyst and funding activity. Responsible for managing budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY). Monitors performance compliance, and preparing monthly receiving reports to enable vendor payment. Assists in developing service contract requirements, justifications, independent cost estimates and market research for the department. Maintains all purchase requests submitted to finance, logistics, and contracting divisions. Maintains the department calendar of meetings and conferences, reviews incoming correspondence, identifies suspense requirements, and establishes suspense controls.
