CIVIL ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL)

Responsible for ensuring the Seattle District is in compliance with ER 1110-2-111 (Periodic Safety Inspection and Continuing Evaluation of USACE Bridges) and ER 1110-2-8157 (Responsibility for Hydraulic Steel Structures). Manages budgets and schedules for bridge and HSS assets at Joint-Base Lewis McChord, and across six operating project sites located in Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Performs quality control reviews, independent technical reviews and value engineering studies within the structural discipline. Reviews and approves technical engineering features of design and retrofit construction documents, including design memoranda, plans, specifications, drawings, construction modifications, etc. Designs, reviews, and approves structural engineering features and applications of planning, design, retrofit, and construction documentation.
