About the role
You will recommend changes to work plans, and trades procedures to improve radiological controls, correct deficiencies, increase efficiency, minimize exposure to radiation, and prevent incidents. You will determine and execute appropriate actions to contain and control radiation, effects, all personnel movement, assigns emergency duties to other Federal personnel, and determines if and when other operations may proceed. You will assess or investigate unusual radiological control situations . You will analyze problems, deficiencies, and causes of incidents that could not be fully resolved by lower grade technicians. You will appraise work procedures and recommend efficient and safe methods for radiation/contamination related evolutions. You will prevent and control incidents and accidents during complicated operations.
