About the role
During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police (Uniformed Division) Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include: Safeguarding the White House complex, the Vice President's residence, and other designated facilities, as well as providing security for foreign missions and embassies. Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions. Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
