Supervisory Attorney-Advisor (CR) (Assistant Regional Attorney)

Responsible for assisting with managing, directing, and supervising the District's Legal Unit. Ensures Legal Unit staff provide appropriate advice to the District’s enforcement staff during the investigation and conciliation of charges and serves as a hands-on resource in the development of systemic discrimination cases. Oversees development of difficult legal theories and preparation of complex legal documents and directs the preparation of discovery, court hearings, and trials. Recommends proposed changes in procedures based on operational experience to achieve efficient, effective, and economical accomplishment of the agency's goals and objectives. Develops programs for staff training in current or new processes and procedures, including the training of attorneys on the law and the litigation process.
