About the role
Prepares briefs, conducts hearings in administrative forums, and collaborates with the U.S. Attorney on the defense of internal federal litigation matters. Performs detailed legal research and analyzes complex factual and legal issues. Develops litigation strategies, legal arguments, and participates in required judicial and administrative proceedings. Prepares litigation documents such as motions, memoranda, and petitions. Collaborates with the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Employee and Labor Relations Division on union matters, including defending the Commission in arbitrations and unfair labor practices.
