About the role
Tour of Duty: Sunday evening to Thursday morning, 6:00 pm through 4:30 am As a working leader, you will lead and motivate journey-level painters performing painting throughout the Library Buildings and Grounds. Duties include: Relaying supervisors' instructions to employees and initiating work by assigning specific tasks to each team member. Working along with other workers and setting the pace; demonstrating proper work methods. Checking work while in progress and when finished to see whether the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines have been followed. Ensuring the workload is evenly distributed and balanced among workers. Reporting to supervisors on status and progress of work and causes of work delays. Using brushes, spray guns, rollers or other equipment to apply paint, varnish, wallpaper and other elaborate finishes (i.e. stenciling, color glazing, gilding, marbling, lettering, striping, stippling and graining) to walls, doors, windows, bas
