About the role
You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Surface Ship Maintenance Planning Program (SURFMEPP). You will plan, implement and/or maintain engineering and management approaches. You will assist all levels of management in the execution of day-to-day business management of SURFMEPP. You will plan studies that involve a major management function (e.g., procurement, supply, manpower, ship maintenance planning, etc) or significant segments of several major management functions. You will develop organizational structures, work processes, or paperwork management systems. You will apply analytical ability and evaluative techniques to management problems. You will propose ways to improve and carry out management functions in a sound, appropriate manner. You will conduct ship visits to assess, evaluate and monitor key platform and system condition and maintenance issues.
