About the role
You will serve as a Training Technician and be responsible for oversight of a training quota portfolio and provide customer service to the entire fleet by scheduling all specialized training to achieve mission readiness.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Schedules and issues C-School training orders for Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve, Civilian, and Auxiliary members to attend Coast Guard hosted, commercial, or other agency training. Applies knowledge of Coast Guard training policies and requirements, as well as applicable federal, joint or other agency policies (JTR, DoD training policies, etc.) to ensure valid, economical effective use of training resources, assignments of quotas to personnel, and issuance of training orders. Manages a "C" school training portfolio that overseas a portion of the total Coast Guard inventory of 800 C-school course, and 45,000 annual quotas. Monitors Coast Guard messagin
