About the role
You will serve as a Naval Architect and be responsible for serving as a naval architecture specialist and consultant in performing the most difficult and/or critical aspects and projects in the section, and in assisting the Section Chief to administer the functions of the section. These fucnctions are associated with the design, construction, modernization, overhaul, conversion, maintenance and repair of ta wide varity of vessels (including icebreakers, patrol boats and cutters, construction tenders and small boats). Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Consulting with management and planning personnel for high value naval architecture or marine engineering projects.
