About the role
You will serve as a Program Specialist and be responsible for resource management, planning, implementation, and return on investment analysis in order to assess strategic and long-range business impacts on the Southwest District. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Evaluates and coordinates the distribution, classification/rating, grade/rank, and military/civilian mix of positions in the entire District. Manages special projects for major office or program issues of broad impact. Participates in special projects, ongoing analyses, investigations and initiatives. Drafts Standard Operating Procedures and manages to ceilings allocated by CG Headquarters for billets, civilian awards, overtime and compensatory time off. Provides quantitative staffing analysis, such as review of staffing standards and bench marking of similar units for inclusion in various Strategic Assessments, Resource Proposals, and reprogram
