Archives Technician (Digitization)

As an Archives Technician (Digitization), you will: Operate one or more digitizing devices to capture image files of a range of materials that may include, but are not limited to, loose and bound paper documents of all sizes, photographic prints, and film and three-dimensional objects Select duplicating system settings and appropriate equipment for the job to scan textual records. Modify Electronic media as necessary to ensure the best product possible Submit image files to automated image processing applications, or may perform basic, predefined image processing to individual files. The technician will insert supplied metadata into software tools or image files directly as needed. Use a variety of software applications to operate digitizing equipment, process image files, conduct quality checks, and enter data. Communicate with colleagues and submit administrative information.
