About the role
As the Inspector General, you will: Provide overall leadership, direction, program planning and coordination of the activities and personnel of the Office of the Inspector General. Manage assigned resources; budgets for personnel, space, supplies, travel, and other support required to accomplish Office functions; participate in recruiting and select candidates for key OIG positions; establish performance standards and evaluate the performance of subordinates; resolve formal complaints and grievances; recommend or make decisions on adverse and performance-based actions; and make decisions on promotions, training, awards, and other personnel actions. Plan and direct an audit program through an Assistant IG for Audits that covers all NARA administrative and program offices, functions, programs, and operations.
