About the role
You will serve as a Contract Specialist and be responsible for procurement to support USCG Base New Orleans. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Reviews routine requests for procurement. Analyzes the requirements, recommends revisions to the performance work statement. Analyzes bids/proposals for compliance with the solicitation. Performs price analysis, including review of pricing data to clarify reasonable bids. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) ; also a valid Contracting Officer's Warrant at the level Simplified Acquisition level. Failure to obtain or maintain these credentials may result in removal from the position.
