SECURITY SPECIALIST

Serves as a technical specialist, planning and implementing information and physical security policies and procedures for the site, ensuring compliance with DoD/DFAS regulations. Guides managers on annual security risk assessments, reviews investigative reports, develops physical security guidelines, and conducts personnel risk assessment training for management. Implements and manages the Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) program, ensuring all site requirements, policies, and procedures are established and maintained. Conducts announced and unannounced security inspections, develops inspection checklists, recommends corrective actions, and provides security orientation and training to all site employees. Manages facility security by advising on design and inspecting secured areas. Establishes procedures for the control, handling, and disposition of sensitive and classified materials.
