About the role
***This position is essential. The employee is required to report to work during emergencies and inclement weather situations. Major Duties: Supervisory and/or Managerial Responsibilities Performs administrative and technical supervisory functions for subordinates. Articulates and communicates to the safety team the assignment, project or problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones and/or pprogram issues under review. Set deadline or time frames for completion. Assigns duties and evaluaties performance. Develops performance requirements for subordinates. Assists the Safety Director in decisions conforming with occupational safety and health standards applicable to The Architect of the Capitol and with all rules, regulations, and orders issued by the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR) and the Architect of the Capitol with respect to the occupational safety and health programs.
