Tour of duty for this position is: Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends. Duties: Installs insulating materials on ducts, pumps, valves and boilers to limit heat transference, reduce condensation and limit sound. Measures, cuts, mixes and shapes insulating materials for complex arcs and irregular shapes and installs protective, moisture-proof- containment barriers for hazardous materials removal involving lead paint, asbestos and abatement. Complies with OSHA and EPA safety and reporting requirements as well as NIOSH, NESHAP, AHERA regulatory requirements. Performs duties that may involve handling and/or removal of friable and non-friable asbestos and lead-based and lead-containing paint (herein referred to as lead paint), as well as suspect polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in building materials.
