Environmental Engineer

This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with Section 9905 "Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense." Typical work assignments may include the following: Performing complex reviews of construction planning and design documentation. Develop policy guidance, program development, compliance and oversight regarding environmental issues for all properties under the jurisdiction of the Pentagon Reservation and Department of War lead facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR) Manages and evaluates activities to ensure compliance with major environmental statutes (i.e. Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)).
