About the role
The duties for this position include, but not limited to the following: Developing a research agenda and proposing research priorities/projects that have substantial statistical content. Formulating, planning, budgeting and executing major Clinical Center-wide and national statistical projects. Such projects include a variety of intramural clinical trials, and studies of diagnostic procedures, interventions, and prognostic factors. Serving as a major interface between the Clinical Center, NIH Institutes, and on occasion, extramural investigators with respect to biostatistics and clinical epidemiological issues. Developing appropriate designs, data accrual mechanisms, and budget recommendations for statistical support for clinical studies conducted by CC investigators and for investigators from other Institutes.
