About the role

Administer credentials and clinical privileging for physicians and non-physician health-care practitioners who require individual clinical privileges. Granting/renewal of clinical privileges, appointment/reappointment to the medical staff, augmentation/modification of clinical privileges, management of adverse privileging actions. Following notification of adverse events/information, analyze the event/information, taking into full consideration factors such as the impact to patients, liability for the hospital, and available evidence. Advise staff and make recommendations on limiting, suspending, or revoking clinical privileges. Receive and prepare responses to letters of inquiry received from other hospitals, licensing agencies, etc. Utilize a personal computer and word processing and database software in order to provide office automation support.
