Orthotist-Prosthetist

Design and fabricate custom orthopedic appliances. Measure and fit patients with all types of custom orthotic appliances. Provide specialized care to patients, ensuring optimal mobility and functionality. Participate in discussions of technical and anatomical features of the case to resolve individual patients’ problems. Coordinate interpretation of prescription with patient and physician, plans approach, and determines technical procedure(s) required. Prepare administrative reports, coordinates quarterly budget reports, and provides supply requests through the hospital supply system.
