Laborer (Marine Machinery Mechanic) Pathways Intern

This is an entry level position in the industrial area and will be assigned to a different shops in the Yard. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assists in any shop where required. Frequently lifts and carries light-to-medium-weight objects (10-20 lbs.), occasionally carries moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and continually walks. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
